Purpose
Many households already scattered recovery materials across drawers, bank boxes, and envelopes given to relatives—without a shared map. This consult is the sorting conversation before (or instead of) a full binder build.
Included
- Review of each place you currently use, described in your own words
- Flags for places heirs are unlikely to know about (temporary travel bags, office desks, informal verbal-only arrangements)
- A one-page location sketch you keep, suitable as input for a later binder session
- Advice on separating the binder’s storage place from the phrase storage places
Excluded
We do not visit bank vaults with you, contact custodians on your behalf, or draft wills. Legal placement of assets remains with your solicitor.
Afterward
Most clients book the inheritance inventory binder within a month. Others stop at the sketch if a single location already covers everything—rare, but we will say so plainly.
